Service Update: 14 May 2020
Although advice from the Scottish Government continues to advise people to delay home moves where possible, we understand that some people may need to move; we can – in certain circumstances – help should you need to move or store your belongings. There’s also more information on the changes we’re making to our service to limit the spread of COVID-19 further down on this page.
It may be difficult for us to visit your property as we would normally do before a move, so we can perform virtual home surveys on a platform that suits you, such as WhatsApp, Facetime, Skype or Zoom.
Our self-storage facility remains open and we can make our containers available with no contact; even the ‘paperwork’ can be completed online in advance.
Before your arrival, we’ll have the storage container(s) in a dedicated part of our warehouse ready waiting for you.
We won’t tie you down to lengthy minimum storage periods, our minimum billing period is only one month, after that it’s pro-rata for the time you need it. £3000 worth of fire and peril cover, per container, is included for your belongings at no extra cost.
Click & Collect Contactless Moving Supplies
We also sell moving supplies, you can order these by phone or e-mail and we’ll have them ready for your arrival. We may be able to deliver for no extra charge too (minimum spend of £60 applies). We are certain that we will be cheaper than any other provider, please contact us for a quote.
Products include: high-quality boxes (of all sizes), packing paper, bubble wrap, Furni-GUARD, wardrobe boxes, carpet protector, tape, polyethene mattress bags, moving blankets, moving ties and high-quality tape.
COVID-19 Safety Precautions
On the advice of the British Association of Removers (BAR) and the Government, we are also introducing new measures to protect our customers & employees, and minimise the risk of spread the virus. This will include our employees working in fixed teams of two, staggered start times, no more than two team members per vehicle, provision of facemasks, gloves & sanitiser and of course adhering to social distancing at all times.
As our services resume, we will continue to strictly adhere to Government guidelines and closely monitor the ongoing situation, updating our services accordingly.
